Golf Cart Inspections
The Ada Police Department offers Golf Cart Inspections to residents and non-residents who would like to have their golf cart titled and licensed for use on Ada Village Streets. Residents may drive their golf cart to the police department for the inspection and directly home. This inspection allows the owner to title the vehicle with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
In order to pass inspection the golf cart will need to meet the following criteria:
*Requires a valid driverís license for ANY operation of a MOTOR VEHICLE on public or private property.
*Must show proof of insurance for Golf Cart.
*Must be equipped with rear tail lights (Only one is required).
*Must have light to illuminate license plate and make license plate legible from a distance of 50 FEET.
*Must have at least one working brake light.
*Must have TWO headlights.
*Must have a horn.
*Must have a rearview mirror.
*Must have windshield (glass or safety glass).
*Must have directional signals.
*Must have brackets for mounting license plates (front and rear).
*Must have occupant restraining device. (One seat belt per occupant).
There will be a $25.00 inspection fee for residents of Ada and a $50.00 inspection fee for non-residents.
